Sushi Robots: A flying start to the year

Photo Stand Sushi Robots

A first step in Germany

Sushi Robots chose to exhibit at Intergastra, held in Stuttgart from 3 to 7 February 2024. Intergastra is Europe's leading trade fair for the hotel and catering industry, with some 1,500 exhibitors and 88,000 visitors covering an area of 115,000 m2.

Visitors to the Sushi Robots stand were able to discover machines for preparing rice, as well as aids for making nigiri, onigiri and maki. Michaël Pankar, the 2023 sushi world vice-champion, was on hand to make up-to-the-minute sushi for visitors to feast their eyes on. The Kakigori bar, meanwhile, showcased the famous Japanese frozen dessert using machines distributed by Sushi Robots. To complete the presentation of the different machines, the Gyoza centre highlighted the solutions for designing and cooking these very special Japanese raviolis.

A seventh appearance at the Sandwich & Snack Show

Sushi Robots has been a regular exhibitor at the Sandwich & Snack Show for several years now. It meets its customers and partners there, and presents its latest solutions to support Japanese gastronomy restaurateurs. The 2024 edition of the Sandwich & Snack Show was held on 13 and 14 March at Paris Porte de Versailles. This year, the show attracted a record 13,600 visitors, an increase of 26% on the previous edition. Aimed at snacking and fast-food professionals, the Sandwich & Snack Show gave Sushi Robots the opportunity to showcase its automated machines for sushi, gyoza and kakigori, with the new ASM575CE for making onigiri.

Izy-Bots: a new Sushi Robots product

The Sandwich & Snack Show was an opportunity for Sushi Robots to present its new brand: Izy-Bots. Dedicated to service robots, this brand brings together various devices including BellaBot and KettyBot, which were on show on the Sushi Robots stand. These robots generated considerable interest among attendees, illustrating the growing trend towards automation in the catering industry.

Training to support you

The Japanese Cuisine Academy, another Sushi Robots brand, was present on the stand to present its training courses for professionals. The training school offers specialised courses aimed at perfecting culinary skills in the field of Japanese gastronomy. Three types of course are available: Sushiman, Gyoza and Ramen. The Japanese Cuisine Academy works closely with recognised trainers and professionals to offer courses that are as close as possible to the realities of the profession and respectful of Japanese culinary culture.

The French Sushi Championship: a highlight of the show

One of the highlights of the show was the French Sushi Championship, in its 7th year.th edition saw Tino Singharaj take first place. The revival of the French Sushi Championship by Sushi Robots in 2024 confirms the interest and commitment of Sushi Robots in promoting Japanese culinary culture in France.

An empanadas show

Sushi Robots then took part in the Hostelco - Alimentaria trade fair, held in Barcelona from 18 to 21 March 2024.

Bringing together 107,900 visitors and 3,200 exhibitors over 100,000 m2, the show gave our Spanish subsidiary the opportunity to meet its customers and prospects.

The company's various divisions were present on the stand: machines for preparing rice, aids for making nigiri, onigiri and maki, a Kakigori bar, and machines for making gyoza and empanadas. Michaël Pankar, runner-up in the 2023 sushi world championship, delighted visitors with his minute sushi with the help of Autec machines: the ASM865CE for making rice mats and the ASM430CE for making rice balls for nigiri.

During the Spanish show, particular emphasis was placed on the Gyoza - Empanadas sector, with the presence of the HLT700XLCE machine from our partner Anko. Live demonstrations and real-life situations enabled us to meet our customers' most exacting requirements. Sushi Robots' second appearance at the Hostelco trade show in Barcelona was another great success.
